#my diary#I keep opening my steam wishlist and sighing wistfully#puts my hand on the screen......... soon my love. soon we will be together#I'm only maybe 60% excited I don't really like the new artwork I saw of the gods#like the redesign of bast........ girl what did they do to you#it just looks so cheap and bad there was a huge stink on reddit about it possibly being ai generated#the team came out and said it wasn't but man#I think I'd almost be more forgiving if it was cuz genai art by its nature is cheap and amateurish looking#ANYWAY#the desire for this game is entirely fueled by nostalgia#like they don't seem to have added much new stuff it looks like it's mostly just 'we updated the graphics and multiplayer works now'#and there's some premium subscription thing lmao disgusting#I really want them to add new cultures#there are so many out there!!!!! whole continents untouched!!!!!#I think about designing a celtic version just for funsies all the time#but I don't really trust my irish/celtic myth knowledge to do so faithfully#and unfortunately the only way to get more up to snuff at this point is to get a master's in celtic studies lmao#ain't that just the way#anyway v2 blah blah blah#hi how are ya
